Discover our season

Stresa’s territory can be divided into four beautiful parts which can be associated with our four seasons.

For each season we thought of matching the parts of the territory and suggesting different and exciting activities in order for you to have fun while appreciating our view.

SPRING

it’s the perfect period to stay outside and enjoy the weather and the beautiful vegetation all around us.
This is why we would like to suggest you the “Parco Nazionale della Val Grande” it can be compared to an outdoor museum of the ancient civilization of the Alps, you will find it,at only at 30 minutes from Stresa.
Also the shores of the Lake Maggiore host several paths in the Nature Reserve of Verbania-Fondotoce for those who love to walk.

SUMMER

During our beautiful Summer breeze, we would like to offer you a lovely tour of the insular part which consists of the three Borromeo Islands:
Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola Pescatori.
They are all beautiful and unique in their own way.
The islands of Bella and Madre were transformed into grand, luxurious residences, while the third island, named “dei Pescatori”, has been a fishing community for centuries and its community still preserves their traditional way of life.

AUTUMN

Autumn is a lovely time to appreciate our beautiful and warm weather while doing many different activities immersed in the colorful hills that surround Stresa.
We suggest an afternoon at the Golf Alpino di Stresa where you can have fun at only 15 minutes away from Stresa.
If you are a cycling lover, then you would be happy to spend a day in the Ossola Valleys and the Mottarone mountain which are perfect to cycle since they are surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking panoramas.

WINTER

During Winter time, snow lovers will find some of Italy’s best ski trails in the area surrounding Lake Maggiore and also lovely places to organize wonderful night snowshoes excursions.
Alpe Devero in the Antigorio Valley is renowned for freeride snowboarding, and San Domenico in the Divedro Valley for its downhill runs.
If you are fond of ski mountaineering, the Alpe Mera in upper Val Sesia is the perfect place for you.
But if you prefer the Nordic skiing then you would be better off at the excellent Brinzio Cross-country Ski Centre on the Lombard side of Lake Maggiore.
